The Alexandria Track and Field team competed for the first time in two and a half weeks on a beautiful evening at Mississinewa. Oak Hill was also in the meet and played a very dominate role throughout the night. The final score on the boys side was Oak Hill 98, Mississinewa 40, and Alexandria 17. The girls final was Oak Hill 102, Mississinewa 30, and Alexandria 24. While the over scoring did not go in favor of the Tigers, there were many standout performances and PR’s (personal records) set on the night. Logan Allen gathered two second place finishes in the 110m High Hurdles and the 300m Intermediate Hurdles. Craig Doty won the High Jump event with a jump of 6 feet, while his brother, Matt, placed 4th at 5’2″. On the girls side, Kelsey Crisp won the 100m Dash and placed third in both the 200m Dash and the Long Jump. Courtney Skinner had a strong performance in the 3200m Run with a thrid place finish. Also gathering a third place finish was Desirae Litchfield in the Discus. Freshman Alexus Crum won the 300m Low Hurdles for her first win of her career! The Tigers will compete again on Friday, May 3rd at the Madison Grant Relays with field events beginning at 5pm.
