Now that the 2012-13 school season is coming to a close, it is time to say goodbye to those seniors that have provided us with years of excitement and entertainment, but all good things come to an end and then we move on to the next big thing. 2013-14 is just around the corner and coaches are expecting to see some great things in the near future of Alexandria sports.
Volleyball and Girl’s Basketball have already provided some information concerning their summer workout schedules, while Boy’s Basketball is still holding while the school waits to announce a new head coach. Currently the schedules are as follows, but please remember that all are subject to change and should be confirmed with the appropriate coaches.
In her second year as head of the Lady Tiger program, Coach Tina Bolte got the girls through a rough start and the team seemed to improve as the season went on. Gone from the team due to graduation will be the majority of scoring and rebounding, but Coach Bolte believes she has enough talent returning that the Lady Tigers can really take some teams by surprise during the upcoming season.
In addition to the workouts listed, the Lady Tigers will also be participating in a High School Summer Basketball League at Muncie Central High School. The team will play two games each Thursday night during the month of June. Games are set to begin at 5:00 PM, and the bus will leave Alexandria High School by 4:00 PM.
