Multiple Teams · Tigers D looks good in opener


ALEXANDRIA, IN – It was no where near the 71-0 beat down they laid on the Wes-Del Warriors last season, but the Alexandria defense put up a very strong showing Friday night in a 21-8 win over the visitors.

“I thought we played really well on defense,” explained Alexandria Head Coach Pete Gast after the game. “We knew coming in that our defense was ahead of our offense. In the fourth quarter they (Wes Del) went to a spread offense and gave us some fits, but overall I thought our defense played pretty solid.”

It was the offensive side of the ball where the coach felt the team has the most areas to improve.
