The cross country teams completed in the 2015 Madison County Championships on Tuesday day evening. The runners had a great evening with both teams performing above expectations on a hot night.
The ladies team finished a close 4th with 103 points. Sophomore Bri Savage led the way for the Tigers with a new personal best of 23:06.7 to finish in 14th place. She was followed Macy Hood on 17th place. Both ladies received second team all county honors for their efforts. Next for the Tigers was Maddy King in 24th place in a new personal best time. Jenna Ogborn followed for the Tigers in 29th and Kait Davis scored the final points for the Tigers in 31st place. Erin Robinson and Lydia Woodruff rounded out the ladies varsity in 35th and 37th places.
The guys team finished in 5th place this season. The Tigers were led by senior Chet Maynard in a time of 18:45.0 to finish in 13th place. Sean Kilgore was next for the Tigers in 19th with a time of 19:28.6. Guy Maynard stepped up to finish in 34th for the Tigers. The remaining Tiger varsity runners were Jordan Murdock, Averill Everett, DJ Rambo, and Jacob Shrewsbury.
