ALEXANDRIA, IN – Pete Gast was right. There are, on average, between 125 and 150 plays in a high school football game, so you can’t point to just one as the difference in the outcome. 

One, though, was pivotal Friday night, and two or three others were mighty, mighty crucial as Elwood was able to hang on for a 22-20 Central Indiana Conference victory over Gast’s Alexandria Tigers.
