Multiple Teams · LADY TIGERS GET WIN IN OPENER

ALEXANDRIA, IN – Alexandria Head Coach Greg Warren remained perfect in his Varsity Basketball Coaching Career (now 2-0) when his Lady Tigers opened their season Saturday night with a 49-42 victory over visiting Centerville. While Warren has had extensive experience coaching at other levels within the school corporation, his only other varsity head coaching game came at Elwood just a few seasons ago when he filled in for a sidelined Coach Brunes and guided the boy’s program to a win.

“It was great for the girls to come out here and get the win,” said Warren, “but more importantly the girls came out and played hard the entire game and that was what we wanted to do. We wanted to show that we can compete. I’m really proud of the girls. Centerville did a great job, but I thought our girls played extremely hard tonight.”
