The Girls Basketball Madison County Tournament will kickoff on Monday, January 4th, with action at four different county locations. In the opening round, the Lady Tigers will travel to Pendleton Heights and face the Arabians starting at 5:30 pm. With a win, Alexandria will host the winners bracket for the remainder of the tournament. With a loss, Alexandria will serve as the consolation host for the remaining games.
The second round of the tournament will take place on Thursday, January 7th. The final round is scheduled for Saturday, January 9th. Pendleton Heights and Alexandria will be the host sites. Both sites will host two games each night. Games times are scheduled for 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm. The complete bracket can be found by clicking here.
On Wednesday, December 30, 2020, Madison County was elevated to a “red” advisory level, per the Indiana Department of Health metric, based on the 7-day average of positive cases and rate of cases per 100,000 people in the county. To comply with Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order 20-50, the following attendance restrictions will need to be required. All tournament games will be limited to participants, guardians, and minor siblings (under 18). There will be no exceptions to this compliance plan. Additionally, each ticket will only be good for one game. At the conclusion of the first game at each site, the gym will be cleared, cleaned, and sanitized. Fans and teams for the 8:00 pm game will not be permitted to enter until gates reopen. Each host site will provide ticket information and arrival times permitted prior to each game.
Tickets will be available for $6.00 each game. Live online streaming will be provided when possible.
